Cedar Siding (Cedar Shakes)

Cedar siding has been a staple in siding options for generations.  It has a classic look while still maintaining a rustic charm.  Cedar is versatile to use and can be painted or stained to a variety of color options.  As with any real wood product there is ongoing maintenance.  Heavy sun and rain tend to rob the wood of moisture, so a good quality sealing stain or appropriate paint is critical to extend the life.


Vinyl Siding

Vinyl siding offers a wide array of colors, styles and pricing options.  Available in various pricing tiers, vinyl is a popular choice for many renovation projects.  There are many cheap options offered through big box stores…we recommend never using the lowest grade siding.  Cheap siding is less rigid and often becomes wavy with exposure.  It is also more prone to cracking from moderate hits than the mid or upper grades.


Insulated Siding

If energy efficiency is important to you, then consider insulated vinyl siding as an option.  Insulated siding provides the added strength and thermal benefit of rigid foam insulation with easy maintenance.
